Christy Drescher
Certified Pilates Instructor
 Christy is a certified Pilates Instructor with the Cypress Center. She originally came to the world of Pilates in 1995 due to knee pain and muscular imbalance while studying ballet. Pilates not only helped Christy rid herself of knee pain, but also took her dance ability to the next level. She continued studying Pilates throughout her college years and in 2006 was compelled to share the incredible benefits of Pilates with others. She received her Pilates Certification from Body Arts and Science International (BASI) in Costa Mesa, California under the instruction of Rael Isacowitz.
A West Texas Native, Christy came to Southern California in 2001 to study at Chapman University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and English. She has several years experience as a dance teacher and currently dances with a small contemporary ballet company in Orange County. Her professional experience includes work in public relations and most recently managing a successful chiropractic/spinal decompression office. She has a deep interest in holistic nutrition and hopes to study this subject in the near future.
When Christy’s not working or dancing, she enjoys the outdoors, practicing Pilates and yoga, rollerblading, traveling, reading, cooking and baking, discovering new art, listening to music, and generally, relaxing with her family – a wonderful husband and a miniature schnauzer.
Christy is thrilled to be a part of the Cypress family and hopes to make a positive impact on others through the art of Pilates.
