Emelia Garkovich:
Certified Pilates Instructor
 Emelia was born and raised in beautiful, sunny Southern California, in a city called Lakewood which is near Long Beach. With over 15 years of dance background, Emelia has enjoyed studying over the last few years with the Anaheim Ballet Company. For Emelia, being introduced to the world of Pilates was an eye opener to the endless possibilities of what the body can do. She has a true passion for the Art of Pilates and has taken Pilates as her next avenue of accomplishments. During the summer of 2007, Emelia studied with Body Arts and Science International (BASI). She completed the Intensive Teacher Training course with Dance Specialization under the tutelage of Karen Clippenger. Being an advocate of a healthy lifestyle, Pilates fits Emelia’s personality and goals. She holds a certification in CPR and AED through the Beverly Hills City Health Department. When not teaching Pilates, Emelia models both print and commercial for a respected agency in Los Angeles.
