The Cypress Center was recently brought to my attention when Kevin R. Stone, M.D., of The Stone Clinic in San Francisco, suggested I look you up in order to prepare myself for future knee surgery.

As you are aware, The Stone Clinic specializes in Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and Dr. Stone is well known for his significant leadership and success in knee replacement surgery.  So when he and his staff, Laura Keller, MPT, informed me that The Cypress Center was not only an established Pilates Center (which could provide me with the low impact exercises I would require) but was also staffed by Certified Physical Therapists (well trained in the specific muscle development for a successful post surgery result), I immediately arranged an appointment with your staff.

After only 4 weeks of regular appointments at your center, I have discovered that I have gained in both muscular strength and have also begun to lose weight.  Alison Klossner, P.T. the Center’s very competent and caring Director of Physical Therapy, has been a wonderful teacher as I have struggled to understand how my muscles work and how to best strengthen them in my efforts to achieve a successful knee replacement; and Leslie Giraldo, M.P.T. introduced me to the benefits of ice and soothing massage after first introducing me to your “reformer” equipment & concomitant workout.

The unusual warmth of all the staff, their obvious interest in and concern for each person and their quite excellent knowledge of both Pilates and the physical realities of each client, are only a few of the reasons I feel your center is so excellent.  I want to thank you for establishing such a unique and beneficial Center; please feel free to use any comments in my letter that might help inform others of the professional resources of The Cypress Center.
