Now that I have been discharged from physical therapy, I wanted to express my appreciation for the excellent treatment I received at the Cypress Center.  Dr. Knapp sent me to your door last October to take care of a badly frozen shoulder.  This, combined with chronic pain from a bulging disk in my lower back dating back to 1978, had taken a severe toll on my mood and well-being.  In short, I felt like a middle-aged wreck whose heyday of mountain biking and strenuous physical activity was in the past.

Dr. Knapp had warned me that recovery from a frozen shoulder could take a year or more, but with Alison Klossner’s skillful intervention, the shoulder returned to normal in a matter of months.  I was so impressed by the effectiveness of this treatment that I decided to enlist Alison in addressing the decades-old lower back pain too.  Because of this condition I had stopped most physical exercise in 1995 and was turning rapidly into a slug.  I am astonished to realize that this chronic problem too has ceased to trouble me, thanks to Alison’s remarkable gifts as a practitioner.  Friends I saw recently for the first time in a year could hardly stop exclaiming over the changes they saw in me, as I flashed my newly toned-up shoulders while passing the canapés.  And by encouraging me to take up regular yoga practice, you have shown me the delight of discovering capacities I did not know I had.  How can I ever thank you enough for guiding me in this direction? 

I now look back on the frozen shoulder episode as the starting point of my physical rehabilitation, which has restored my vitality and optimism.  This is the most profound change of all, brought about by the outstanding service I received at the Cypress Center.  I close with many thanks to you all.
