Grant was born and raised in Pacific Palisades. He studied music at The International Percussion Academy, and Hamilton Academy of Music in Los Angeles, as well as graphic design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After being hired as a piano teacher at a local school in Santa Cruz, he developed a love for teaching music, and soon began giving piano, drum, and guitar lessons to private students in the area. Utilizing his graphic design studies, he also started creating promotional artwork for a wide range of clients. Returning to L.A. to be closer to family, he worked as an office manager for a myofunction therapist here in Pacific Palisades who told him about the health benefits of playing the didgeridoo (aboriginal Australian wind instrument). He soon developed a technique for the instrument, and began teaching didgeridoo lessons to her patients suffering from sleep apnea.

Today he still creates promotional artwork, and teaches private lessons in piano, drums, guitar, bass, and didgeridoo to students of all ages from all over the country.

In his spare time, Grant enjoys hiking, jogging, watching movies, creating digital/hands-on artwork, jamming with fellow musicians, and playing shows with his band in the summer
